Hello guys, this is my first time actually sitting down and installing Arch Linux (have used other linux distros for years). I followed the Beginner's Guide, step by step, to install Arch on the internal MMCBLK on this laptop (it is a cheap laptop from Best Buy). I successfully got it install, and I select to start Arch Linux and it begins to load modules, stopping at different ones (one common one was "...Rebuild dynamic linker cable...", but it changes each time) and SHUTS OFF the screen of the computer, but apparently not the computer itself. I have tried and done the following to no-avail:
-made sure to install Intel Microcode and xf86 drivers, as well as making sure to tell it to load each of those (after remounting and chroot-ing per the guide after installation)
-tried pressing various key combinations (control-alt-F1 or F2)
Here is a link to the computer itself:

I did do some searching but to no avail... I found some things saying to do nomodset but the Intel page says NOT to do that... any suggestions? ![]()

No it doesn't: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ke … odesetting

The intel page certainly does say not to use nomodeset.
But does this machine have intel graphics?

Sorry, I must have confused reading that somewhere else... been digging through a lot of pages looking for fixes before I finally made an account.
That did fix the issue, but now it won't load /boot and other stuff... I have a feeling I screwed up with EFI, so I'm just setting it to Legacy mode and trying BIOS install. Appreciate the help.
