Hi,
I'm stuck with strange new problem I cannot solve. My system used to boot fine until yesterday and there is nothing I did to invalidate the configuration (i.e. I was not updating nor changing anything around boot / partitioning etc.).
My filesystem is encrypted with dmcrypt+Luks and I can mount it when booted from live CD.
The observation is that when trying to boot the system I'm getting "Booting..." followed by system hang (i.e. ctrl+alt+del won't restart the system).
I can see all of the hard drives are being detected by bios.
What I did up to date:
Boot from live-cd and:
- doublecheck my /boot/syslinux/syslinug.cfg
- doublecheck /etc/mkinitcpio.conf (to see if my `encrypt` hook is still there)
- run mkinitcpio -p linux
- fdisk /dev/my_boot_disk to see if boot flag is there
- add earlyprintk=vga, keep to /boot/syslinux/syslinux.cfg (to see if any hidden kernel errors show up)
- add ignore_loglevel to /boot/syslinux/syslinux.cfg
- pacman -Syy followed by pacman -Syu
Since there are no errors displayed I suspect the problem should be when reading my /boot partition or with linux img on /boot
Help would be much appreciated!

Ok, it seems something weird happened with my BIOS. Somehow boot HDD setting got updated (have no idea why now? or how?)
