PCI VGA Passthrough on QEMU with a single GPU (using xorg-vesa)

Hi,
I have a single Intel GPU in my computer, but I was wondering... If I disable the GPU driver module (by blacklisting the i915 and the intel_agp driver modules) and use the xf86-video-vesa driver instead... can I still connect the GPU via VGA to another monitor and use it as a second card?

Cheers.

Afaict that's not possible, and linux videodrivers are not mature/stable enough to allow dynamically switching the card between host and VM.

You could configure the host as a headless system without a  videocard and access it through ssh ,freeing the videocard for the guest.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky
