Hi All,
Host: VMWare Workstation 10 / Windows 7 Ent.
Guest:
Kernel 4.4.1-2-ARCH
GDM + Gnome 3 - Standard gnome-shell WM.
open-vm-tools
When I click the cycle multiple monitors, Xorg seems to recognise that there is two monitors but the second never activates.
Further to this the first then seems 'misalign' the mouse. By that I mean, my actual cursor is somewhere upper left of where the VM believes it to be (i.e. there's a button I need to click center screen, so I'll need to place the cursor somewhere top left of the screen).
I've configured all the requirements of open-vm-tools as per wiki, including the enabled services vmtoolsd and vmware-fuse-block.
I must have been missed someone, but I don't know what.
Other distributions (as a comparison) must have what ever is missing as they work.
Many thanks for any advice.

I've installed Linux LTS (4.1.18-1-lts), and this seems to have resolved the issue.
Does this mean I should log a bug with open-vm-tools regarding kernel 4.4 or that there's a problem with the arch compiled kernel?
Logged with open-vm-tools: https://github.com/vmware/open-vm-tools/issues/74
