Boot Chime (osx)

Hi!
Is it still possible to deactivate the OSX Boot Chime, after everything's wiped (only arch's running).
I managed to boot into Recovery Mode by pressing cmd+R. I then go to terminal and submit:

nvram SystemAudioVolume="%00"

. The problem is: this is not persistent.
After the reboot the chime's still there.

Did anyone achieve to deactivate it persistently?

Load up a Debian live ISO image and try:

# apt install powerpc-utils
# nvsetvol 0

I can't find the package in Arch hmm
