I like rox-filer.  It takes a few days to feel comfortable with it but once you do, it's great.

if you don't have any major hang ups about everything looking uniform i like Xfe, course right now the dependencies are a little broken, or at least they were haven't checked in about a month

Re: fluxbox [solved]

Thunar is great, for only being a few months old it is one of the best file managers I have found.

Re: fluxbox [solved]

Xfe is superb on Flux as it only has a single dependency (fox 1.4.x) and helps to keep the system light. The file manager is very configurable, feature rich, and extremely functional.

Re: fluxbox [solved]

I am another ROX user, but Thunar sounds interesting (and looks good).

Can one mount/unmount  USB media like in ROX, with a mouse click?

TIA

yes, add this to /etc/pacman.conf:

[shadowhand]
Server = http://arch.os-zen.net/pkg/shadowhand

then do a "pacman -Sy thunar-svn"
