pdflush equivalent in Arch?

ps aux | grep flush

shows nothing in my installation. Instead [writeback] is in the output. Is this it? Why does the flush daemon name differ according to the distro (pdflush/flush-*/kdmflush) ?

Re: pdflush equivalent in Arch?

Hi, Awebb.
Thanks for the link. The kernel no longer uses a thread to write the buffers back, no?
I'd appreciate it if anybody could give me a resouce with which I can learn how the kernel treats dirty buffers.
