Monitoring UPS with usb cable on Linux.

Hello. I bought a PCE 2000VA/900Watts UPS. It has a usb cable that I connected to my computer. I guess this means Microsoft Windows can monitor the battery status.
Is there any way to do so under Linux as well?
Thank you in advance.

Re: Monitoring UPS with usb cable on Linux.

apcupsd supports a generic usb driver supported-upses-and-cables as does networkupstools usbhid-ups.  NetworkUPSTools is in AUR
From http://www.pceups.com/home all the ranges listed list linux support but without any details so it might also be worth contacting the manufacturer.

Re: Monitoring UPS with usb cable on Linux.

Thanks. I emailed PCE with my email/phone number and asked if monitoring works under Linux.
I'll try to get apcupsd to work as well in the meantime.
