Hi,
My laptop overheats sometimes and shuts down. That's nothing special, my room gets extremely hot during the day.
The problem is: If I let it cool for a couple of hours and reboot (even at night when the room temperature is down), the fans go to full power immediately when the Grub menu appears, and the computer shuts down in the initial phase of booting. I can repeat this for 5 times or more. Eventually I get it to boot, usually sometime after I take the laptop and shake it or blow air through the vents, I haven't figured out what exactly does the trick. I can always go the bios settings and the vents stay on normal speed for as long as I stay there.
Do you know what's going on here? Is this a Grub issue??
Thanks a lot for your help,
Stefan
