I'm getting a `Error loading \vmlinux-linux: Volume Corrupt` when booting my Arch install after I ran Arch and Windows updates yesterday (Dual-booting Windows 8 and Arch, Fast boot and hibernation are disabled).
I was looking to trying this solution but I can't boot from a live usb neither, I get a `squashfs: SQUASHFS error: unable to read xattr id index table` error when I write to the USB with dd, previously was getting `ERROR: '/dev/....' device did not show up after 30 seconds`when I wrote to the USB with UNetBootin. The USB is a two weeks old USB3.0 stick.
Is there anything I cant do to solve this?

Did you do integrity check for the arch iso? It could have been corrupted during download.
