Streaming video playback (Youtube etc) in browser really bad ...

Hi,

currently, i'm experiencing massive trouble with streaming media playback (Youtube etc) from the browser,
both from Chromium and Firefox.

Clicks, Pops, Browser Crashes, every few minutes the Audio gets prickly, or some milliseconds are missing
(esp. unnerving with Music videos).

I'm using jack, and the alsa-jack-plugin to redirect audio to jack (configured in .asoundrc).

It wasn't that bad in the past, but got really bad during the last months ...

Any hints ?

Regards,
n

Hi there,

Same here, but only in Firefox and youtube.. Other HTML5 Videos work just fine.

Any idea yet what it is about? It is a clean install, so it has to be a bug.
What system are you using?

Cheers

Interesting. I'm not able to play video at all in Firefox and Chromium. Youtube, Vimeo, Facebook.  The video loads and if I hover the mouse pointer on the timeline I can see snapshots, but nothing I do can get it to actually play.  This just started a week or so ago.  I keep a pretty up-to-date system.
