Thinkpad t420 nouveau second screen not detected

Hi,
So I have thinkpad t420 i used to use bumblebee on this thinkpad comes with intel-virtual-desktop. But then I decided to change to nouveau, because the intel-virtual-desktop is very laggy and has tearing issue.
The decision to use nouveau is after I run a live ubuntu disk. It seems ubuntu manage to make it work with dual monitor with accel of course.
but I couldnt do it on arch, the LED signal on my external monitor turn blue but has nothing show up.

In my mind, if ubuntu can do..definitely arch can do as well.
