Hello everyone,

Trying to get a trial of Hiero running from "The Foundry". Everything seems to be installed fine but I get the error:

libDeckLinkAPI.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

According to much Googling this is typically located in /usr/lib64?

I can't find it on my system at all or I would just try and link to it and see if that resolves it.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

According to pkgfile, that file is not in the repos. You need to find out what software provides that library.

Beating a dead horse here, perhaps, but the libDecklinkAPI.so file is part of the Desktop Video package, which you can download from https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/support. It might also be in the Arch repos, but I wouldn't know - I don't use Arch. -TJ
