[SOLVED] Audacious leaving partial music file copies

Whenever opening Audacious to listen to music, it starts dropping partial (sometimes full) copies of whatever music is in a playlist in the /home/user directory. I noticed this since version 3.7.1 but not sure how to find out why it's doing this. The original music files of the playlist remain intact in their original locations. Not a show-stopper, just a nuisance. Anyone else seeing this?

Edit: added bug #629 as googling and Audacious forums show nothing similar, problem exists in 3.7.1 and 3.7.1-1 (and 3.7.1, -1, and -4 plugins) but goes away with roll-back to 3.6.2-1.
Edit: dumb mistake, new version has a record button in it (the red button to the right of play) --doh!!!, apparently it was activated.
