If you are wondering what happened to your post, I think you hit the report link rather than the rely link. It happens ![]()

Im not, but already add myself to lp group and even reboot, but nothing
[~]$ sudo gpasswd -a john lp

Now read wiki end and i have a question, in all commands there instead of "printer" need to substitute printer name. What is printer name and where to look it?
Use the lpstat(1) command to see a list of available printers:
lpstat -p -d
Ok, i try it without -d option:
[john@comp ~]$ lpstat -p
lpstat: No destinations added.I dont understand how i can add printer if printer not available at all ![]()

Good news everyone) Third url help me, but printer recognized as LPT not as USB
I add udev rule
/etc/udev/rules.d/10-cups_device_link.rules
KERNEL=="lp[0-9]", SYMLINK+="%k", GROUP="lp"After that printer was recognize by cups:
[john@comp ~]$ sudo lpinfo -v
[sudo] password for john:

network lpd
direct parallel:/dev/lp2
network https

network socketWhy not usb? If i add string "SUBSYSTEM=="usb"" to rule file and reload rules, printer not recognize again

Solved in part, it would be desirable to have the printer defined as usb, because now only two print settings: size and resolution, and no many others.
Further try to solve by myself. Thanks!
