how to set the options if the module is build in the kernel?

Hi,

I have a PCTV card for watching TV on my PC.

Normally I do 'modprobe bttv card=11 tuner=3 radio=1' to load the module (bttv) in the kernel.

Now I have compiled my own kernel with the module build in, but I don't know how give the right options to bttv that is now inside the kernel.

Re: how to set the options if the module is build in the kernel?

Well, according to /usr/src/linux/Documentation/video4linux/bttv/README, you probably should still be using it as a module.  However, you can dig through the rest of the bttv docs and see if there is mention of passing options to a compiled-in driver.  Another source to consult would be
http://tldp.org/HOWTO/BootPrompt-HOWTO.html to see if it mentions anything about passing other options to compiled-in drivers (maybe environment variables?).

If you find an answer, post back and let us know.
