lxterminal-gtk3 opacity question [Solved]

Thought I would try out lxterminal-gtk3 and everything is basically the same apart from opacity in background, does anyone know if it can be set to allow background image to show through? or it a feature of gtk2 version.

Simple way around issue would be use of xcompmgr (or compton).

Is this an issue or a feature?

You can select a color with opacity with the color chooser in style settings: you just need to define a new custom color by clicking on the + sign, then set the bottom slider for opacity.

It's not easy to find:
LXTerminal > Edit > Preferences > Style > Background > Pick a Color > Custom > Add > Alpha slider

Re: lxterminal-gtk3 opacity question [Solved]

Well can now see opacity bar and make changes, however background still remains a solid colour. Not sure if it is a config thing?

It currently works only with compositing window managers.
