Also I'm not tied to using syncthing although I tried it today since I thought the open soruce solution is the best one to try first. If there are any other solutions available whcih do the job as well I'll try those. I simply want a folder synced of my python projects between my main computer and my server. Both computers are in my house. I guess Ill try btsync again if there we don't find any solutions here though it is nice to use open source when possible.

If you want to keep your code synchronized, why not git? (or other VCS).

Well they don't sync them in real time do they? I was trying git for a couple weeks and I found it way more complicated than I needed. I may go back to it at some point but haven't had a good reason to. At the moment I need realtime syncing between different computers not the code rollback kind of thing git does. because currently I've been having to make changes to 3 or even 4 of  the same project over the 4 different computers I run the same script on. I want one master and all the others to update on the other computers automatically rather than have to make the change 4 times as Im having to do currently.

Interesting. I just tried installing on my arch vbox and it worked so I guess it is indeed something to do with the other computer's hardware.

I tried making the build but got an error which is exactly the same as my OP so how to avoid?:

Apparently you need to export GO386=387 to disable sse2.

How do I configure it when I havent installed X since it needs a web browser to view the settings?

I turn the computer off every evening so no long run times and only installed arch on it the other week. I rebooted first before running the above if that matters.

This is not possible.  It is possible that you have never updated before, and since you just updated and haven't rebooted you could be running an old kernel.  But the kernel you are running was last in the repos on January 13th.  So either you installed on or before January 13th and have never updated, or there is something important you aren't telling us.

I see in your other posts you claim to have followed some tutorial other than our wiki for installing arch.  This is likely the source of the kernel descrepancy and is almost certainly the root cause of the problem you are having with syncthing.

That was one time and you keep bringing it up in every single thread. and the other thing about me 'hiding information' you doggedly insist on repeating.

Re: pacman doesn't install latest version of syncthing? and error message

OK, I was planning on leaving this thread alone, but the above is just complete BS.  There was a previous incident when I left a thread of yours because of your reluctance to take input.  I gave you another chance with this thread and I again saw something fishy - so I sought clarification which was not forthcoming.  So it was not one time, it has been two.  As far as brining it up in every single thread, I have brought it up in no other thread at all.  Zero.  And I also don't doggedly repeat anything (until now).  You seem to be quite disconnected from reality.

I promise not to reply to any further of your posts or threads.  Do me the same courtesy and do not make up lies about me and post them here.

In fairness I will concede that my suspicions about the information you are withholding being relevant to the present issue was wrong.  I was wrong about the relevance but it was a reasonable suspicion as it remains abundantly clear that you are lying about how/when you installed your system and/or about the output of commands that you've shared in this thread.

archuser11301, you are lucky your thread isn't outright binned.  Please don't be a help-vampire, nobody here wants to spoon-feed someone else.
