This is NOT a post asking for tips on how to use azureus / bittorrent - the actual message isnt important to me at all, and I've got it set up correctly (it works, and downloads / uploads etc just fine). What IS driving me nuts, is that since upgrading a bunch of stuff (azureus, xorg, radeon drivers and kernel included) azureus's error messages "pop up" in the bottom right corner of my gnome desktop and WILL NOT GO AWAY. Its like its drawing the error message box, on top of everything else, and failing to remove it.
everything else works, but because I get a spurious error from azureus (which is unimportant) when I start it up, I have this annoying box on all workspaces on top of all other apps in the bottom right corner of my screen until I close azureus.
I cant work out what to do - downgrade azureus? fiddle with xorg or the video drivers? (shudder) do something with java?
On a possibly related note, when I started downloading a torrent containing a bunch of avi files, MPLAYER started running in the background with "-vo null -ao null -identify" as options!! wtf is that about? it was eating half my CPU!
I'm confused, help me!

ok well at least its got me to sort the error message out - I got rid of it by preventing it from appearing. but this isnt right regardless.
