OSS because I haven't figured/tried to get alsa working. I'd probably prefer to use alsa though.

it doesn't matter really but if there appears to be a majority that do then it would be good to know because then the developers can add alsa entries to the default devfsd.conf and save everybody the trouble.

ALSA, because that's standard in 2.6. I've got the idea, however, that most apps are still using OSS emulation. The only apps that explicitely told me they are using ALSA, are XMMS and arts, and therefore all kde apps.

Well I have oss and alsa installed but I mostly use alsa, as it's the future and i'd rather adapt now.

alsa - ive had to recompile quite a few apps to use with alsa thou
