Hi,
I cannot access kmail after updating yesterday .... unfortunately I don't remember what was actually updated (as an aside, is there some sort of history of updates recorded on the system?).
I normally run kmail from within kontact, and while there is an icon for kmail, it doesn't do anything or report any errors. Running kmail from the kde menu shows nothing, and neither does running it from the CLI. Reinstalling kmail doesn't make any difference.
Any suggestions please?
Edit: after deleting the akonadi config files in .config and .local/share (as per the Wiki), I briefly got kmail & kontact back as separate windows (I launched kontact after relogging in kde), re-entered my account info and managed to check my emails. On closing the kmail window though, I am back to the original behaviour posted above..
Edit 2: I really needed to get some work done, so took the drastic step of removing (backing up) all of my home directory config files (.config, .local & .kde4). All working again now, but obviously had to set everything up again.

Well this has happened for a third time now after an update to kde. Is it just my setup, or am I missing something?
