[Gnome] Extracting default gtk-theme/location?

Hi,

according to the Wiki, it is possible to extract the gnome-shell theme. Is this also possible for the default gtk-theme (adwaita). I've searched for other .gresource-files, but I couldn't locate the theme files for gtk3. Where can I find them? /usr/share/themes/Adwaita/gtk-3.0/gtk.css is just an empty file with the comment

/* Adwaita is the default theme of GTK+ 3, this file is not used */

You can get Adwaita from the GTK+ repository HERE. It's under /gtk/theme/Adwaita.
I'm not sure about the GNOME-shell theme, but I think it's in /data/theme on the GNOME-shell git repository HERE.
