Computer wont poweoff only powercycles

Hi guys
I've just finshed installing Arch on my HTPC but I can not get it to power off

Using shutdown in xfce results in a reboot
Using systemctl poweroff or shutdown  results in a reboot as well

acpi -i output
No support for device type: power_supply

Im thinking that it might be a issiue with my motherboard and acpi in the kernel?
My mother board is a ASrock Z97M Pro4 with the latest bios 1.90.

My win10 install will poweroff ok, both OS's are installed as UEFI and boot via grub.

any help with this issiue would be awsome.
thanks heaps

Re: Computer wont poweoff only powercycles

Does it reboot, or does it power off, then immediately power on again? (former suggests software problem, latter suggests hardware/firmware)

I can't recommend anything specific, but I would suggest fiddling with the USB3 options in the BIOS. xHCI Mode specifically seems to cause this behaviour on certain machines if set to "Auto" vs. Enabled/Disabled.

Thanks for the reply wormzy

It power off, then immediately power on again. We I finish work I'll muck around with the usb3 setting in biso
See if that fixes the problem.
