[SOLVED] Can't change brightness on Lenovo notebook

Hey guys!

I just bought a Lenovo Ideapad Z400 Touch, everything is working really well except the screen brightness.

When the system starts the illumination goes down and I can't turn it u using the hotkeys, but when I am at the notebook BIOS everything works normally.

I was searching on the Lenovo KB and I found the following article:

https://support.lenovo.com/br/pt/documents/ht080665

I have everything installed except the Lenovo Power Manager.

My question is: How can I change my screen brightness ?

I have already tried the commands:

$xrandr --output LVDS1 --brightness 1.3

$xbacklight -set 100

I also tried the following tutorial but with no real success:

http://itsfoss.com/fix-brightness-ubuntu-1310/

Thank you !

Re: [SOLVED] Can't change brightness on Lenovo notebook

It's solved !

By adding the parameter acpi_backlight=vendor to the bootloader now I am able to configure the brightness.

I will be marking this topic as solved.

Thank you for the help !
