Hi fellows,
I've recently and successfully closed a previous thread (https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=210875) about systemd-boot.
My actual configuration provides systemd-boot as bootloader over my UEFI laptop.
As I above-mentioned, in my previous thread, I installed standalone EFI grub in order to boot an ISO; purpose of this trick is to be able to use my preferred rescue system, systemrescuecd, booting the ISO directly via grub, called via systemd-boot.
POWER ON -> systemd-boot -> grub -> systemrescuecdOK, now I can explain my two problem, since I get their after using systemrescuecd,
(specifically, those issues happen when I reboot from systemrescuecd, booted via grub...):
1- If I press any key during the systemd-boot timeout, it freezes and the only solution is to force a reboot;
2- external monitor doesn't work anymore, no output is detected;
thank you

I have systemd-boot calling grub. But no freezing conditions.
do it good first, it will be faster than do it twice the saint ![]()

Does the system behave normally if you just use GRUB (EFI) directly, without using systemd-boot?
It seems silly to chainload a bootloader from a bootmanager ![]()

I need to point out those issues happen when I reboot from systemrescuecd, booted via grub...
(I edit OP)
could be an issue related to old kernel used by systemrescuecd (3.18 and 4.1)?
when I have some time I'll try Arch Linux ISO...

Well, is the only mode I can boot a ISO image.
Then, it might denote a triple chain-loading ![]()
do it good first, it will be faster than do it twice the saint ![]()
