Hello, an arch maintainer told me that qemu with input patches was available on arch thus removing the need to patch qemu myself, is it by default or do i have to activate a special repository for this?
Didn't find any information when searching the forum
edit : see last message, patches available with qemu-git on AUR until 2.6 release for main repo

You can see how the packages in the official repos were built by clicking packages on the navigation bar, searching for and selecting the package you want to know about, then clicking "source files" in the Package Actions box on the right-hand side of the page.
https://projects.archlinux.org/svntogit … kages/qemu doesn't list any patches, so unless these input patches were applied to the source code upstream before the 2.5.0 release of qemu was tagged, they are not applied.
There may be a version of qemu on the AUR which applies the patches you are talking about.

This maintainer might not be bothered too much by one more email from you.
Otherwise, provide details.

Couldn't you have asked this question from the maintainer himself? In any case, using the method mentioned by WorMzy, you can see the patches and build options for all of the official Arch packages.

He's from my school, don't know his name so i have no idea when i will bump into him again.
Thanks for the link WorMzy i will look into that
Worst case scenario i will just rebuild it, i did a backup of my rpmbuild folder before formating my os disk.

For those interested by this, the input patches were included to the qemu git repository a few commits ago.
People will have to wait until next release (2.6) to have them on arch main repo but you can already have the patches with qemu-git on the AUR.
If you have question on how to setup your libvirt xml to use those patches feel free to pm me.
