[REQUEST] AUR package to build chromium from source with one patch

Does anyone know if there is AUR package that builds chromium browser from source ? I would like to make one to include a little patch https://github.com/Akujin/chromium-disa … tton-patch to disable that new profiles button at the top right corner which is nuts. However, i havent written a single AUR package myself, and i would like to get some help.

I did not use ABS for a while, but maybe there is Chromium in ABS?

ABSROOT=. abs extra/chromium

Will download the PKGBUILD and all other files used to build the chromium package in [extra] to the current directory.
Try to add the patch to the prepare() function.

Of course, i haven't thought about that, arch builds chromium from source too, thanks. I just remembered that AUR packages are just extracting deb packages, and for some reason i thought arch is doing the same, this will be easy.

You are misinformed. There are some AUR packages that do this, but the vast majority do not.

Mobo: MSI MAG X570S TORPEDO MAX // Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X @4.9GHz // GFX: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT // RAM: 32GB (4x 8GB) Corsair DDR4 (@ 3000MHz) // Storage: 1x 3TB HDD, 6x 1TB SSD, 2x 120GB SSD, 1x 275GB M2 SSD

I was talking about chromium AUR packages, all of them just extracts ubuntu chrome installer, at least i havent found any AUR chromium packages that builds it from source code.

Ah, I think you are confusing Chromium with Google Chrome. You cannot build Google Chrome from source, because the source code is not available to the public.

Possibly, but you should open your own topic about that.
