USB wakeup stopped working

I have udev rules for my 2 USB keyboards (one bluetooth, one logitech "unifying" receiver) to enable wakeup (copied and adapted from  a pull request of Solaar project.

A couple of weeks ago it stopped working. I checked in the

/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.0/usb5/

subdirectories for the respective devices, and wakeup is on "enabled". I also tried setting

/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.0/usb5/power/wakeup

to "enabled", which is the xHCI Host Controller.

Any ideas why this doesn't work?

Thanks, Stefan

PS: Back in the day when it still worked, it also didn't *fully* work, i.e. I could wake up the computer from sleep for half an hour or so, but usually when I waited longer, it stopped working. Never found out why.
