You have to provide much more information about what you did. On first sight it looks like a broken pdf.
- How do you open the pdf?
- What DE?
- Where did you get the pdf from?

I open it with Evince..
The pdf has been downloaded from the site of my professor..
On Osx the char is correctly showed

I would guess the problem is missing fonts in your machine.

In this case what is the correct font?
And how i can set it?

pdf files contain embedded fonts, so I would agree with @Stefan Husmann in that the pdf file is broken as all relevant fonts should be incorporated into the pdf when it is originally created - I guess your Professor forgot to do this when he/she made the pdf! If the fonts aren't embedded, then fonts are substituted which is why you are getting the square box because there is no possible substitution available: perhaps OSX has this font by default so it can make the correct substitution?
I'm not sure if evince can tell you, but adobe reader (acroread) can tell you.
This page gives a brief overview - https://blogs.mtu.edu/gradschool/2010/0 … -embedded/
edit: just found out evince can tell you the fonts in use - open the file, click the file options button - properties - fonts
