[SOLVED] Pacman connection timed out after -Syu or installing package

Everytime I try to install a package with `pacman -S package`, I get the error:

error: failed retrieving file 'package-name.pkg.tar.xz' from <mirror> : Resolving timed out after 10519 milliseconds

When I run `pacman -Syu`, I get a similar error:

error: failed retrieving file 'core.db' from <mirror> : Resolving timed out after 10519 milliseconds

It seems that everytime pacman tries to connect online it can't, however I do have an active internet connection. Recently I changed to a new internet provider, and it seems that since then I've been experiencing this issue, could it be some sort of firewall issue?

Have you tried a different mirror? If yes, and you still get the same error, try a different nameserver:

I changed my `/etc/resolv.conf` file and I added a new namespace as described here. This seems to work, thanks a lot!
