KDevelop theming on a non-KDE desktop

Hi folks,

I'm using i3-wm as my preferred Windows Manager, and I would like to try out KDevelop as my C++ IDE. However, by default, it looks ugly as hell, and I'm confused about how to configure it. If I go to "Configure Editor > Fonts & Colors", the schemes I select apply only for the text editor (not the rest of the interface). I am trying to achieve the same result as here:

Currently, I have qt-config4 with the GUI Style set to GTK+, and my GTK theme is set up via lxappearance. I don't want to change my Qt theme globally just to get a dark theme with KDevelop, it should be possible to change it on a per-application basis no? I have tried to install kde-qtk-config, systemsettings, breeze, breeze-gtk4 and breeze-gtk, but then I realized that KDevelop is using the Qt theme set with qt-config4.

So my questions are:
1) How can I set the KDevelop theme without changing my global theme?
2) Do you know which themes were used to obtain the screenshot posted above? Or something approaching.

Re: KDevelop theming on a non-KDE desktop

Hi,

Unfortunately, I can't tell you what themes are involved here, but you may be lucky by playing around with the following environment variables:

QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE=[Fusion/Breeze/Numix-ArchBlue/...] XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP=[kde/gnome] kdevelop
