I'm trying to change the default keyboard when I start cinnamon. My primary layout is dvorak; however, I have setup the ability to switch to qwerty with hotkeys. I upped dvorak to the primary keyboard in the settings list, but the system always starts with qwerty active. When I remove qwerty from the language list it appropriately starts with Dvorak, however as soon as I add it in again Cinnamon defaults to it.
I use GDM to start Cinnamon and I edited the 00-keyboard.conf file to start in GDM in dvorak. This doesn't seem to have any effect on cinnamon though. Should I be editing xorg.conf type files or am I missing something?
