Yesterday I spent the day compiling and installing mesa-git and all that it requires. Steam didn't start period and a friend told me to install the lib32 versions as well. After that I got steam to start but the interface is now rendering the colors wrong. Some games are also rendering their colors wrong too. I can't find much help help about the color problem.
Here's some screenshots of what I'm talking about.

Steams output looks fairly normal apart from this error:
Errors in resource/styles/steam.styles:
Are you using a Steam theme?
Try removing the resource/styles directory and then reinstalling steam. (no need to uninstall steam before, reinstalling over the top should only replace the missing files IIRC. Do so at own risk.)

I deleted the /styles folder, reinstalled steam, and it got to the update screen and crashed my system. On restart the only thing I get from steam is:
/usr/bin/steam: line 196: /home/jake/.local/share/Steam/steam.sh: Success
This is effecting other games too now. Unreal Tournament 4 is also having inverted colors. So is Parkitect and both those games are installed in my ~/Games folder. This is looking more and more like a driver issue.

Crashed your system? What exactly happened that you consider your "system crashing".
Did X crash to a TTY?
Did the input become unresponsive? (no keyboard or mouse)
Did you get a kernel panic?
Did you system just abruptly shut down?
Depending on what happened, you might just have a very different problem entirely.

The system locked up and I had to force reboot by pressing the power button.

That really shouldn't happen, but it appears you're using the radeon driver, right? So I take it you have an AMD graphics card.
Could you provide your system hardware specs or the make and model of the system if it was bought pre-built?
I do know that AMD Linux proprietary drivers leave a lot to be desired. (Never used AMD graphics, no experience there)

I figured out why it just gives me this error. steam.sh in ~/.local/share/Steam was blank. I deleted it and ran steam again. Then it gave me the standard runtime errors and the wiki codes worked for that. Now we're back at the beginning with steam being all messed up color wise.

This might be unrelated, but do you have lib32-libtxc_dxtn and libtxc_dxtn installed?

I have just lib32-libtxc_dxtn installed. Should I look for the other one?

If it's affecting more than just steam (your games) chances are high you have a driver error (probable, as you are using a very flashy piece of hardware), your monitor colours are inverted (perhaps the OSD got bumped?), or xorg has changed display settings in some way. The very first thing to check is the monitor and make sure all its colour settings are at the defaults. If you're certain thats not it, we can debug xorg/your driver.
EDIT: Having check out the images, that most definitely looks like a steam theme to me. Try looking at steam > settings > interface and making sure nothing odd is there.

Everyday, I make a conscious choice to overcome my challenges and my problems. It's not easy, but its better than the alternative...

It's not my monitor. Most programs are fine. It seems like it's only effecting programs that use 3D. So steam and games. It's not completely inverted either. It's only a few colors. Blues become reds, and vice versa.

Oh, if it's only 3D programs thats a bug somewhere, likely in the driver. What driver is in use, and which ones have you tried? AFAIK, catalyst is the only way to go for flashy new pieces of hardware.

I've tried mesa and mesa-git. Nothing else. I've been on mesa-git for a couple months now and I haven't had any problems with it until 2 days ago.

Thats great! Remember to mark the topic as solved. Edit the first post and append SOLVED the title. It helps others with similar problems find a solution quicker.
