How do i play wolf3d and duke3d on arch? there are linux ports available but which are the ones which work?
Offline
I just found this:-
http://eduke32.com/
http://wolfgl.sourceforge.net/
How do i compile these or can anyone make package? The binaries for wolfgl gives this error message
wolfgl: relocation error: wolfgl: symbol errno, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference
Help would be appreciated.

http://www.linuxgames.com/ just posted some updates to Quake 3, Wolf3d, and Enemy Territory. Grab the full installer for Wolf3d and away you go.
Not sure about Duke, though, but you could browse icculus' web site at http://icculus.org/quake3/
Hope this helps...

Both are dos games. Using a dos emulator (dosemu or dosbox) you should be fine.

AFAIK pseudo-3D engine that is used in Duke Nukem 3D, NAM, Shadow Warrior and some other games is open-source now and should be somewhere on SourceForge, but I don't remember URL.

Wolfgl looks too smooth from the screenshots.
You still need the data files for wolfgl. Might make a pkgbuild tomorrow and bring back some memorys.
