I am running gnome and using libinput on my Yoga. The touchscreen works great, but the trackpad goes in and out. It will stop working and typically require a reboot. Occasionally a modprobe -r i2c_hid and modprobe i2c_hid will fix it, but typically a reboot is required.
I have several issues on this new install I am trying to fix, but i saw the irqpoll option listed below and tried that but the issue persisted.

This was solved as a hardware issue. I never ran Windows 10 on this machine as after purchase I immediately installed Linux. After trying custom kernels, patches from other threads, etc.. I decided to put Windows 10 on the machine and load the Synaptics drivers. The trackpad was still not working and in Windows device manager I had an error of "A request for the HID descriptor failed". The same error I got in Arch dmesg. I returned the laptop and loaded Arch and everything is working as expected.
