Can't pause mplayer when playing a music file.

Does anyone know how to pause mplayer when a music file was opened from a file manager, there is no UI and no system tray icon. It does not accept keyboard media keys. So the problem is once the file starts to play there is no way to pause or stop it from playing other than killing mplayer. Which can be really annoying if you suddenly hear music and have no idea where it is coming from.

Re: Can't pause mplayer when playing a music file.

Start mplayer from file manager with something like:

xterm -e mplayer

Or lxterm, roxterm, urxvt etc.
Then you'll have an interface for it, space bar will pause media.

Rox file mgr set run action for file type:

xterm -e mplayer "$@"
