Strange font issues in web pages

So I was having an issue with a number of international fonts not showing on web pages, I copied my windows 7 fonts to /usr/share/fonts/WindowsFonts and ran fc-cache as documented in the Wiki. Now for the most part everything looks great, but some sites have some very strange font issues, though they vary a little by browser. Examples here:

I imagine that there's a conflict of some sort, but is there a way to set priorities for directories? Alternatively does anyone know off-hand if it's likely an issue with a particular font or two?

*Edit to add that I should mention that I'm using XFCE if it's applicable.

Re: Strange font issues in web pages

Solved... Sort of.

I nuked the Windows fonts, installed the ttf-office2007-fonts package, and installed the adobe-source international fonts.
Formatting isn't screwed up any more at least, but a few fonts, like whatever google's search results uses, and some facebook usage seems a little squished horizontally.
