[SOLVED] Bluetooth not working after suspend

Hello,

For few days now I have problem with bluetooth.
After suspend it won't start.

Gnome showing that it is working, but it isn't.
I have to turn it off, turn it on, run command like

rfkill unblock bluetooth

and eventually bluetooth would work. Sometimes I have to restart Arch to get it working.

For now I tried installing/reinstaliing

bluez
pulseaudio-bluetooth
gnome-bluetooth

Reinstalling gnome-bluetooth returned error:

execv: no access

in journal after clicking to connect with mouse I have:

kwi 27 18:25:32 TBH117 bluetoothd[632]: Failed to obtain handles for "Service Changed" characteristic
kwi 27 18:25:32 TBH117 bluetoothd[632]: Sap driver initialization failed.
kwi 27 18:25:32 TBH117 bluetoothd[632]: sap-server: Operation not permitted (1)
kwi 27 18:25:32 TBH117 bluetoothd[632]: RFCOMM server failed for Headset Voice gateway: rfcomm_bind: Address already in use (98)

Re: [SOLVED] Bluetooth not working after suspend

I had the same problem. I thought that was something wrong with Gnome 3.20, but I tried with XFCE and appeared the same problem . So I deduced, after read your post, that was something wrong with the drivers.

I tried the LTS kernel and it fixed the bluetooth, and now works perfect. It seems to me, that it's a problem with the bluetooth drivers.

I have Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160.

I hope that it helps.

Re: [SOLVED] Bluetooth not working after suspend

I have Intel too.

In my case I updated to testing kernel 4.5.2-1-ARCH and everything is fine now!

Thanks for your help!

Edit:

too soon. if suspend is longer than ~15 minutes than bluetooth won't activate after wake up.

Re: [SOLVED] Bluetooth not working after suspend

Hello everyone.
I am on kernel 5.15.16-1-MANJARO and I faced the same issue.
Although it was solved by the solution mentioned by pszafer.

systemctl restart bluetooth.service
