After the update by using "pacman -Syu", I find I cannot log into the gnome3 (cannot show gdm window)
it only show
" starting version 229
/dev/sda5: clean, .../... files, .../... blocks "
Update1: Now I find the error is blank screen without errors in Xorg.0.log
however when I using
startx -- :1 to open a new xorg in tty2 and the computer show blank screen, too
I paste the Xorg.1.log (in ~/.local/share/xorg/) here:

I can use twn with the command here:
twm &

xterm -geometry 80x50+494+51 &
xterm -geometry 80x20+494-0 &
exec xterm -geometry 80x66+0+0 -name loginAnd also I can use:
export XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP=GNOME-Classic:GNOME
export GNOME_SHELL_SESSION_MODE=classic
exec gnome-session --session=gnome-classicit can log into a gnome desktop and several icons in desktop, i can open the Home fold, however no gnome menu, no dash and I cannot control the widow size.
UPDATE3:
Finally I moved to the KDE desktop...
It works fine and it may take me sometime to adjust.
Maybe the next update of gnome will overcome the bug.
Thanks for your help

Either that's not your current xorg log, or you are not up to date. It says it's running on kernel 4.4.1 but 4.5.1 is the current in the repos (even lts is newer than 4.4.1).
Can you start x manually (with startx)?
Is there anything in you journal? Or systemctl status gdm?

It looks like X runs for 6 seconds then exits successfully. Did you exit X, or what did you see when you ran startx? What is in your ~/.xinitrc?

I quit X manually for that only black screen exist and no gdm window, no mouse cursor.
The case exists for long time and no 6 seconds.
my .xinitrc is here:
exec gnome-sessionIt looks like X runs for 6 seconds then exits successfully. Did you exit X, or what did you see when you ran startx? What is in your ~/.xinitrc?
