Hey, I can't boot my computer anymore and can't get into the BIOS either. I have done the standard BIOS over clock thing on the 1st of 5 levels which are said to be safe.
- can't get into BIOS
- keyboard sporadically doesn't respond (I have a feeling it doesn't respond when I have to press the enter BIOS key)
- white cursor on black screen, no splash screen (that could also be because the monitor takes too long to turn on though)
- the usual "everything is okay"-beep is still there, which confuses me a lot.
What I've tried
- remove all devices except for one slot of ram. No GPU, no USB devices except the keyboard, no hard drives except the boot SSD
- reset BIOS via pins and via battery
- switch ram (though I'm not completely sure whether the test ram is OK)
- its not the PSU, tried one from a working computer
- the motherboard does detect when there is ram missing, so I'm guessing it's not the motherboard either?
Other than trying another main board, what can I do here? I'm pretty confused because at this point I've tried replacing almost everything but the main board
Hardware:
- Intel i5 somethingK
- main board z97p d3

Updated the post, it's not the PSU and the motherboard does detect when ram is missing. Thanks for any help

What type of video card do you have?
If it is on-board, try one with a slot.
Read mobo's manual to see if there is another reset.

Neither works
I have done all possible ways of resetting according to the manual.
Still, thanks for replying

Have you tried the kernel parameter nomodeset?

I don't even see the splash screen from my main board or the boot loader, so unfortunately that's not possible
Thanks for the idea!
