I'm embarassingly excited by this.
Mainly because the Taglist plugin author implemented the list in a fixed-width window so that when you :vsp, the rest of the columns are divided equally 8)
And smart completion!! Why Eclipse when you can VIM?

You guys are aware vim7 has been in unstable for almost a year now, right?

Yeah, I remember you mentioning it in some other post, but somehow I never got around to looking at what wasn't implemented yet.
Now I don't have to! 8)

Yes, but that was a development version. Only yesterday was 7.0 actually released.

There's very very little difference between the beta snapshots and the stable version. As I've said hundreds of times (along with everyone else in #vim on freenode), Bram is very good at what he does. I have never once had the development version crash on me, and have used it since development began.

The vim package has been marked as out of date (which you could have checked via the AL website). So, you know it'll be happening soon.

I'm aware of that and I'm not trying to argue; I'm just simply stating that it's different, even if only a little.

Don't expect it too fast. The PKGBUILD is super complex atm and the upstream patches pile up by light speed. So help us testing it a bit more. I might move it to testing soon. But current is got to wait.
