I reported and got an annoying bug fixed in youtube-dl upstream. The arch linux youtube-dl package in community repo is "Flagged out-of-date on 2016-03-30". Could not find anyway to comment on the package page. How to get the package fixed?

Thanks for the link. I gather (from the link you posted) that I'm not supposed to file a bug report on Arch's bug tracking system for an outdated package. I have already reported it to the upstream developers on github and they seem to have fixed it. I only need to know what to do in case of an outdated package in arch's community repo.

Of course you can report bugs for outdated packages. What you can't do is open a bug just to report that the package is out of date.
Anyway, package is updated now.
