Good free fonts for DTP

Hi,

I'm searching for some good and free fonts for Desktop Publishing purposes.

I would like to find an appealing serif font and some fonts I could use for headlines (sans serif).

Any player in this field could give me some tips (not only font names, also where to search first)? Most free font databases are full of comic etc. fonts.

Well, the bitstream fonts are by profession typographers for serious work. I've found them to be very nice.

Hi,

you're right, they are really good fonts. But there are only few free ones, and I don't have money to buy from the others.

I would like to find some little bit more non-standard, exquisite, yet serious fonts..
Any other ideas?
