Hello everyone! Recently took ASUS K501LX laptop and want to run Archlinux on it. However, display flicker exists in console and in X session. Problem is reproducible with default Archlinux ISO (2015-10) and with installed latest xf86-video-intel-git from AUR and nvidia+bumblebee.
I tried playing with various i915 options but problem remains. Currenlty only way to disable flickering is to add i915.modeset=0 option. No error messages are seen in dmesg
Kindly ask your advice on what I should try to narrow down the problem and where to submit bug report on that (here? ASUS? Intel?). Thank you!

Now that is funny, there is no flicker on attached HDMI display. And everything works fine with laptop display is turned off (including OpenGL games like ARK: Survival executed with primusrun and nvidia driver). So the problem exists specifically on laptop display.

Kernel 4.5.1-1 has this problem, kernel 4.5.4-1 has not.
Someone must have heard my prayers
