Hello,
I've been struggling with this issue for a while now.
Each time I open a menu, it freezes everything. I have to open a new session, kill libreoffice (global, writer, calcl, etc...) and I can work again.
It's not an issue to work on documents if I know shortcuts, but I do need them...
I tried reinstalling libreoffice, but to no avail.
Any suggestions, any logs I should look into to find out what's wrong?
Thanks a lot for any help

Me too. For example in Libreoffice Calc when I press c-1 to open de the format cell menu exactly 30 seconds. During this time the application becomes unresponsive. Other menus take less time. Tried also reinstalling.
Was working ok, but after the last pacman update to pacman 3.22 it started this.
Tried under wayland-weston, same thing.
It becomes unbearable when I need to copy something form calc to writer, it hans also for a few seconds.
Font of letters, after a few times of delays becomes like mixed fonts. Like ransom notes.

As a workaround, you should try this :
Modify as root the file /etc/profile.d/libreoffice-still.sh and force the kde4 style. (export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=kde4).
Apparently the recent GTK3 upgrades cause some issues with libreoffice ^_^

Yesterday I tried among other things to downgrade Libreoffice, with not good result.
Today, new version of Libreoffice 5.2.2-2 solved this issue.
Thanks anyway. No need to try that.
