Greetings,
I am getting a consistent error every time I post here as of today (Friday May 20th 07:45 MST). It's a secure connection failed error. It says the connection was re-set while the page was loading. Now, I hate taking screenshots of text, but it was the best solution and full size image is very readable:
I don't know what causes this, and, as it is happening on the Arch boards, I figured I should post it here. I am running Firefox (I'm going to assume latest version because I keep my system up to date), and nothing in the background. Is something bugged on my end? I dont want to do anything rash until I know whats causing the error.

I am getting the same problem and was wondering if it was an issue on my end.
But apparently it's not just me.

And how did you post here? Is some other browser working well?

We can post simply by hitting the try again button, and then re-send at the prompt
EDIT: Or at least I can, rather.
EDIT: Never mind, see below.

Click "Try again", confirm that Firefox should resend the data from the previous attempt, and it magically goes through.
EDIT: This post just magically went through without the rigmarole required for the past day or two???

Only new posts seem to generate the error. Replies and edits haven't yet. In case it helps someone.

Or it depends on how long the period between loading the page and submitting the post is. FWIW, depending on your login options, there might be more unpleasant consequences:

Hm... I'm not worried though. Usually after typing a post, I'll hit preview once or twice (especially with images/code tags), and then submit. I'm never away from my laptop for hours when I know I want to post something, lol. But thanks for the info.
Anyone know whats causing this weird error though??

I haven't noticed any problems myself, but this should probably be reported as a bug.

Who would the bug report go to though? AFAIK, nothing certificate and/or firefox related changed on my end. Wormzy, do you suspect a forum bug? Or are we not sure at this time?
EDIT: Keep in mind that as it stands, only new posts are affected. Using the try again then re-send allows posts to go through. Hence it becomes an annoyance, but I wouldn't worry too much about it. Unless, of course, some sort of security has been compromised. Which is highly, highly unlikely.

Actually, we've seen (also) the same kind of error on our site, but only Firefox 46. The problem is not present in FF Nightly as far as I can tell. I haven't investigated the matter further though.
To add: The issue first appeared after switching to Let's Encrypt X3 certs (from LE X1 certs), the same kind the BBS is using.

I would open a bug against Firefox for the time being. If he needs to, Heftig can ask Pierre to check the server logs, but since this only seems to be affecting Firefox, I doubt it's a back-end bug.
