Issues running steam after update

Hello, I ran a complete update and now steam won't start anymore.

I have a Intel HD4000 graphics and a 64-Bit installation. Running the steam command yields following result:

~/.local/share/Steam/steam.sh: line 161: VERSION_ID: unbound variable
~/.local/share/Steam/steam.sh: line 161: VERSION_ID: unbound variable
Runnin steam on arch 64-bit
~/.local/share/Steam/steam.sh: line 161: VERSION_ID: unbound variable
STEAM_RUNTIME is enabled automatically
Installing breakpad exception handler for appid(steam)/version(1461872496)
libGL error: unable to load driver: i965_dri.so
libGL error: driver pointer missing
libGL error: failed to load driver: i965
libGL error: unable to load driver: i965_dri.so
libGL error: driver pointer missing
libGL error: failed to load driver: i965
libGL error: unable to load driver: swrast_dri.so
libGL error: failed to load driver: swrast

If i run STEAM_RUNTIME=0 steam i get:

~/.local/share/Steam/steam.sh: line 161: VERSION_ID: unbound variable
~/.local/share/Steam/steam.sh: line 161: VERSION_ID: unbound variable
Runnin steam on arch 64-bit
STEAM_RUNTIME is disabled by the user
Error: You are missing the following 32-bit libraries, and Steam may not run:
libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0
libgdk_pixbuf-2.0.so.0

I made sure to downgrade lib32-libgcrypt as mentioned here. Deleting steams library whit

find ~/.steam/root/ -name "libgpg-error.so*" -print -delete

was no solution either. A search for the latter two packages yields no relevant results. Any pointers to what I broke during the update process?

Re: Issues running steam after update

Installing steam-libs and using STEAM_RUNTIME=0 steam solved the issue...

I don't think you needed to do that -- I had the same problem (HD4600) and this fixed it:
