Over time the topic "Discussion: the ati/radeon open source drivers & radeon repository" has changed a lot.
The radeon repository doesn't exist anymore, it's successor is LordHeavy's mesa-git repo.
Radeon specific AUR packages have also been replaced by general mesa-git packages .
While the topic is still in use to troubleshoot radeon issues, posts about other issues have become more frequent.
Maybe it's time for a mesa-git topic?

Note: while mesa-git repo and aur mesa-git packages are 2 independent implementations, there's lots of overlap between them.

Well, whats discussed in a topic like that is bound to change over the years (years??). The current repo's for proprietary AMD stuff today is, AFAIK, whatever is in the AUR and Vi0l0's repositories. Now I have no experience with the mesa-git/aur-mesa-git but why that would be discussed in an AMD thread and not, say, its own mesa-git thread I'm not sure. But as far as changing the title of the thread I'm not sure it's entirely needed. Perhaps a moderator's input would be much more useful.

You could always start a new thread with a more accurate title, and we can sticky it and close the old one.
Just drop a note in the old one notifying people that the discussion is about to move...

I completely agree with a new thread, Lone_Wolf, can you open it?

Has it been confirmed the old thread should be closed or is there still use for it?
