calibre AttributeError: type object 'QUrl' has no attribute 'None'

Hi guys!

After the last updates I get this message when I try to open a book in calibre clicking the book format (both azw3 and epub). A book can be opened from the history though.

calibre 2.57.1 embedded-python: False is64bit: True
Linux-3.12.57-1-lts312-ck-x86_64-with-glibc2.2.5 Linux ('64bit', '')
('Linux', '3.12.57-1-lts312-ck', '#1 SMP PREEMPT Sun May 1 22:24:38 EEST 2016')
Python 2.7.11
Linux: ('', '', '')
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/calibre/calibre/gui2/book_details.py", line 481, in link_activated
    link = unicode(link.toString(QUrl.None))
AttributeError: type object 'QUrl' has no attribute 'None'

Any ideas how to make it work are appreciated!

Re: calibre AttributeError: type object 'QUrl' has no attribute 'None'

Best reported upstream on the calibre bugtracker.  wink
The good news is it is already fixed in source: https://github.com/kovidgoyal/calibre/c … b6bd458bc6

...

I would open a bugreport on the Arch bugtracker to have calibre rebuilt with that patch, but it is Thursday so there should be a new calibre version released tonight anyway.

Why Monday in particular? smile

Anyway, it turns out there won't be a release this week, so I opened FS#49479.

Re: calibre AttributeError: type object 'QUrl' has no attribute 'None'

I noticed before that once I get the notification for the new version in calibre itself it takes 3-4 days to receive the new version in the updates. Thank you for taking the trouble to open a report, Eschwartz!

Re: calibre AttributeError: type object 'QUrl' has no attribute 'None'

Huh, I didn't think it usually took that long. But it is kind of disappointing that it hasn't been fixed.

Shameless plug big_smile I didn't notice the community package wasn't working... because I build calibre from source. See my calibre-git package in the AUR.

Installed calibre-installer and it works fine. Thank you, Eschwartz!
