Hi everyone,
I tried to connect my Samsung Galaxy Alpha phone to my laptop.
However, when I run `# mtp-detect` I get:
libmtp version: 1.1.11
Listing raw device(s)
No raw devices found.
What can be the cause of that?
Thanks ahead

@saoded:
What have you already tried? What troubleshooting steps have you taken? What documentation have you followed.
Arch Linux is a great distro, and these boards are a wonderful resource for assistance. But you are expected to help yourself and make an effort. I'm not saying you haven't don this, I'm just calling attention to your need to do so and/or disclose this. Ask questions the smart way and you will be well received here.

@mrunion:
I guess I need to learn this part as well - asking the question in a manner clearer for the community to help me.
I have read the MTP page in ArchWiki, I installed libmtp, mtpfs, gvfs-mtp. Later I understood that my filemanager, pcmanfm, doesn't require the mtpfs, so I removed it (no effect on the output of course).
I looked at the MTP troubleshooting section in the Wiki but the problems described there seemed different, so I didn't want to use a solution to other problems on mine.
Also, following the gvfs troubleshooting part (ArchWiki), I tried to lsusb to find that it's undetected there either (no change in the device list when my phone is conncted or disconnected).
@cirrus:
I googled this and searched on the pacman packages and AUR but didn;t find any information about this thing. Can you direct me to a site or any kind of source for that?

My phone does that sometimes. I need to reboot the phone to solve it. (can't tell you why)
pacman -Ss mtp | grep installed
extra/libmtp 1.1.11-1 [installed]
community/mtpfs 1.1-2 [installed]mtp-connect
.....
libmtp version: 1.1.11
Device 0 (VID=0bb4 and PID=2008) is a HTC Android Device ID2 (Zopo, HD2...).
Android device detected, assigning default bug flags
Usage: connect <command1> <command2>
Commands: --delete [filename]
--sendfile [source] [destination]
--sendtrack [source] [destination]
--getfile [source] [destination]
--newfolder [foldername]
Did not run it as root, and no, I'm not up to date. (Month or so out)

That actually worked! Thanks a bunch.
I'm new to the forum, is there some place to mark your answer as the solution?
